Faba beans (or fava beans) are your new best friend. Large and flat with a distinct oval shape, faba beans are grown across regional Australia.
Faba beans are full of good stuff. They’re a rich source of protein, dietary fibre, and essential nutrients such as folate, iron, manganese, and magnesium. They also contain antioxidants and phytonutrients that keep your body ticking along.
Yes! We keep things simple at Pure Plant Protein - no animal products, no buzzword ingredients and no artificial flavours you can’t even pronounce.
Not at all. We started Pure Plant Protein because we were sick of terrible pea protein powders that were clearly a step below whey protein. Our faba bean protein is miles ahead of these gritty protein powders, and it also has a higher protein content.
That gritty taste of most plant-based protein powders comes from pea protein. Our faba bean protein powder doesn’t have this grittiness, blends better than pea protein, and has a higher protein content as well.
Nope, you’re in the clear. Gluten free, dairy free, vegan friendly and no GMOs. Have any questions? Just ask and we’ll be happy to help make sure our protein powder is right for you.
We’ve got four for you to choose from - chocolate, vanilla, coconut, and unflavoured (with more on the way 🙂).
With a protein content of 88%, faba beans have the highest protein percentage of any vegan protein on the market!
Our entire operation takes place on Australian soil. From growing the faba beans in rural Victoria through to our production facility just outside Melbourne, your protein bag is entirely local and Australian made.
You can use it however you like. Our protein powder goes equally well with milk, milk alternatives and water. Vanilla with maple syrup and oats is a great combo to bulk up your calories, while our chocolate flavour with some water is basically a light and healthy chocolate milkshake!
Absolutely! We recommend using our unflavoured protein powder for baking and cooking, but any of our bags can be used for your next stint in the kitchen.
None. We use all natural ingredients in our products.
Stevia & Erythritol
Our protein powder contains a bunch of essential amino acids. These are amino acids that your body needs but doesn’t produce itself.
